'Deadliest Catch' Captain Dies 53

Phil Harris (April 28, 1956 - February 9, 2010) was the owner and captain of the crab fishing vessel FV Cornelia Marie, which is featured on the Discovery Channel reality TV series Deadliest Catch. He suffered a stroke while in port at Saint Paul Island, Alaska on January 29, 2010, and died on February 9, 2010.

Harris once stated, "You're not a man 'til you've pulled a tooth out with a pair of pliers."

rip capt. phil u will be missed i enjoyed watching you on the deadliest catch the show will never be the same without you the best shiow i enjoyed was when u pulled the best prank on the northwestern when you cut the rope and put a pipe between the lines your jokes will be missed by me may god watch over your family and the rest of the brave men who face the bearin sea

My condolences to the family. So young gone so soon. I would like to leave you a thought that help me alot. (John 5:25) “Most truly I say to YOU, The hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have given heed will live. I hope this will give you some kind of comfort in your time of grief.
