Latest on Patrick Swayze. Cancer Treatment Progress

To Lisa Swayze and the entirety of Patrick Swayze's family, I've just read of Mr. Swayze's passing. Please accept my condolences and know that he was a hero to people like myself. Since hearing of his illness I was praying that he, of all people, would beat the odds. I always admired him because he sounded like I do. Of course, he was born in Texas and me in Virginia, but I loved the fact that Hollywood didn't get rid of his Southern accent. Of course, like everyone I was crazy over Dirty Dancing, I would buy the tape of the soundtrack, loan it to someone, and have to buy it again. I think I bought 4 or 5 tapes of the soundtrack with that happening over and over. Each time I'd listen to it, I could visualize the part of the movie in which the song was used. Plus, the fact that part of the movie was filmed in Virginia was always a plus for me, too. Ghost, of course, was another of my favorites. My husband and I saw that movie for the first time when we were on vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I loved that movie, too. and Road House, etc. etc. In all of his movies, I just liked him. He seemed to me to be one of the guys from home rather than one jaded by the Hollywood lifestyle, and I felt like he let us all be privy to his life rather. He was REAL. When I read of his passing this evening, I felt like I'd lost a member of my family. May God bless you all and help you get through this time of mourning. Just been watching Dirty Dancing.., i know that was not one of patricks favorite movie rolls, but to a lot of women my age 46 he was the hotest thing since sliced bread. What a dish.
