Dan FogelbergIn May 2004, Dan Fogelberg was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. He underwent hormonal therapy and achieved a partial remission, which did not eliminate his cancer, but reduced it and stopped its spread. On August 13, 2005, his 54th birthday, Fogelberg announced the success of his cancer treatments and he thanked fans for their support, but said that he had no immediate plans to return to making music, but was keeping his options open, and enjoying spending time with his wife, musician Jean Fogelberg.

He lost his battle against cancer on December 16, 2007 at his home in Maine with his wife, Jean, by his side.

Ike Wister Turner (November 5, 1931 – December 12, 2007) was an American musician, bandleader, talent scout, and record producer, best known for his work with his former wife Tina Turner as one half of the Ike & Tina Turner duo. Spanning a career that lasted half a century, Ike’s repertoire included blues, soul, rock, and funk. Alongside his former wife, he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 and in 2001 was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

Evel KnievelRobert Craig "Evel" Knievel, Jr. (October 17, 1938 – November 30, 2007) was an American motorcycle daredevil, a well-known figure in the United States and elsewhere since the late 1960s, and arguably the most iconic motorbike stuntman of all time. Knievel’s nationally televised motorcycle jumps, including his 1974 attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho, represent four of the top 20 most-watched ABC’s Wide World of Sports events of all time.

His achievements and failures got him into the Guinness Book of World Records several times, including his record forty broken bones.

Evel Knievel died in Clearwater, Florida on November 30, 2007, at the age of 69. He had been suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis for many years. Longtime friend Billy Rundle reported that Knievel had trouble breathing while at his residence in Clearwater, but died before the ambulance could reach the hospital. "It’s been coming for years, but you just don’t expect it. Superman just doesn’t die, right?" was Rundle’s reaction

Collegiately he played for the University of Miami, where he helped lead the Hurricanes to a national championship in 2001. Due to his ferocious style of hitting, his pro teammates had nicknamed him "Meast," a reference to half man, half beast.

Taylor died during his NFL playing career at the age of 24 from critical injuries sustained after being shot by an intruder at his Miami area home on November 26, 2007. He died the following day at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, several hours following an emergency surgery at the hospital

Wilson died at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, United States. Cause of death was not specified.  Dick Wilson was 91 years old at the time of his death.  Wilson was survived by his wife Meg, daughters Wendy and actress Melanie Wilson of the ABC sitcom Perfect Strangers, and five grandchildren. He was Buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.

The Vegas Eye reported on its website that DuBrow was found dead on that day in his apartment in Las Vegas. Drummer Frankie Banali confirmed DuBrow’s death in an email to Spain’s The Metal Circus.

According to local police, there was no forced entry and no suspicious circumstances were reported. KTNV in Las Vegas reported that he had passed away about six days prior to his discovery

Barbara West Titanic SurvivorBarbara Joyce Dainton née West (May 24, 1911 – October 16, 2007) was second to the last remaining survivor from the sinking of the Titanic.

Barbara was born in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, the second child and daughter of Edwy Arthur West and his wife, Ada Mary Worth. She was preceded in birth by a sister, Constance Mirium. Barbara was 10 months and 22 days old when the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912 after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage from England to New York City.

The West family boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England as second-class passengers, en route to Gainesville, Florida. Barbara, her pregnant mother and older sister, Constance, escaped the sinking ship in lifeboat 10. Barbara’s father did not survive. Upon their arrival in New York, Ada took her daughters and booked passage aboard the Celtic, returning to England, where she later gave birth to a third daughter.

In 1952 Barbara married William Ernest B. Dainton.

Barbara never participated in any Titanic-related event, having said that she wanted "nothing to do with the Titanic people". She lived in Truro, United Kingdom, but remained incapacitated and required full care in her last months of life. West died on October 16, 2007 in Truro at the age of 96. Her funeral took place on November 5 at Truro Cathedral.
