Steven Alan "Steve" Wynn (born January 27, 1942) is an American casino resort/real-estate developer who refurbished or built some of the most currently widely recognized resorts in Las Vegas such as the Golden Nugget, The Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, Wynn, and Encore.
As of 2009, Wynn is the 468th richest man in the world
Steve Wynn suffers from the degenerative eye disease retinitis pigmentosa (RP), which cripples night vision and reduces visual ability in the periphery until the sufferer essentially has "tunnel vision." Many people with RP eventually become legally blind.
In an accident witnessed by a group that included Barbara Walters, Wynn accidentally poked a hole in Picasso's 74-year-old painting, "Le Reve," French for "The Dream", valued $139 million.
