Tiger Woods seriously hurt in crash

On November 27, 2009, Woods was taken to hospital after an early morning car accident near his home, reportedly in "serious" condition. He had driven his SUV into a tree and a fire hydrant. The Florida Highway Patrol said that the crash was not alcohol-related, but that charges were pending. Woods was released from Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida in good condition; his agent said that Woods was fine, and had been treated for facial lacerations. Tiger was trapped in his SUV that his wife had to break the rear window with a golf club to take him out.
