Joan Rivers on life support

On August 28, 2014, Rivers experienced serious complications-including stopping breathing-during throat surgery at a clinic in Yorkville on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was put into a medically induced coma after reportedly entering cardiac arrest.

On August 29, her daughter, Melissa, publicly stated that she is "resting comfortably" in the hospital.

On August 30, it was reported Rivers has been put on life-support. Reports stated that her family might face ending Rivers's life support if her condition did not improve.
