Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009) is an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years, five of his solo studio albums have become some of the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).
Death of Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was 50 years old at the time of his death.
The cause of death has not been determined.
On the morning of June 25, 2009, Jackson reportedly collapsed at a home he was renting in west Los Angeles. Paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:12 pm local time. He reportedly was not breathing at the time that paramedics arrived, and CPR was quickly performed. He fell into a coma and died shortly after being rushed to the UCLA hospital. The cause of death is suspected to be cardiac arrest. At 4:36 pm local time, the Los Angeles coroner confirmed Jackson's death. Although there is no evidence of criminality, Los Angeles Police Department detectives have opened an investigation into his death

I love you michael jackson I can't believe that you are gone I never thought that a song you wrote would be sung to you. Gone Too Soon, every time I hear that song it makes me cry I love you and miss you. I know its better on the other side and you are getting the rest you deserve and hopefully that #*+@ing doctor gets what he deserves taking such a wonderful, loving, and generous soul away from so many people that loved him. I just love Michael Jackson. No matter what. I may be 13, and I may have known Michael for what was said in 2005 during the allegations , but I realized since he died, that he was a true star, a legend. I will keep his legacy alive. He is the the only, the essential, the greatest, the one and only king of pop. And I just wanted to let Michael know that I will love him,and to let him know that it is just good to know that he is the greatest inspiration that I could ever have. Thanks Michael!!! It will be hard to now live my life how I wanted, but I will now have to find a way to repair the hole that his death caused in my heart. He raised the pop culture standards and then broke them. He made music HIStory with the Jackson 5 and by himself. Thanks Michael, for being the biggest THRILLER the world has ever had. R. I. P. Michael Jackson!!!!

I read today that It's official MJ's death has been ruled a homacide.
He died from an overdose of Diprovan what a waste. Someone needs to be punished for this.

Michael Jackson was killed. He didn't have to die.
He is not supposed to be dead only if somebody didn't break the law. He killed one of the most important people in modern history.

Its a fact that Micheal Jackson was a sensational pop star and more and it is unfortunate the circumstances of his death, but why do so many people try to point fingers and blame others for his drug use rather the man himself? What happened to people being accountable for their own actions?

Michael Jackson was an entertainer, not a doctor.
So, he hired a doctor and paid hundreds of thousand of $$$ to keep him healthy & keep him alive.
Doctor gave him the drug.
What did Michael know about drugs? nothing. Why would he worry about drugs? He had a doctor to worry about these things for him. He took whatever doctor approved.
Michael wanted drugs, it was the doctor's job to say "No" to drugs that would kill him.
It's not like Michael Jackson stole drugs from the doctor.
When you hire a super expensive personal doctor, you are not supposed to worry about him killing you.
It was the doctor's job to control what kind of drug he was taking.
Remember, Michael Jackson was a life-time entertainer. He didn't go to college. He hired a doctor to worry about his health for him.
If you cannot trust your own doctor, that's a pretty messed up world.

I get a kick out of listening to Jermaine Jackson on TV. When questioned about knowing if Michael was on presciption drugs, he gave a lot of double talk. If he said yes, the next question would be, did you try to help him? He obviously knew. All the family knew, and did nothing about it. They all helped put him in his grave. There were some that tried to help, but they were over ruled. Michael certainly had his problems, but he was a tremendous talent. A true super star. He was a musical genius. May he rest in peace.

Again, it came as no surprise that Michael's father responded just like Jermaine. He also said he had no knowledge of Michael being on Prescription drugs. He's a liar just like Jermaine. They knew Michael had a problem and did nothing to help him. Let's see who else is in line to follow in these foot steps.

This is the most shocking death, also the most important death of this decade.
I never knew I liked Michael Jackson this much. I used to make fun on him.
3 day later, I am still crying. We didn't know how good we had it. I miss Michael Jackson.
