Re: Lou Rawls Memory
I used to work in Hollywood entertainment industry.
I used to print a lot of promo pictures for TV & Movie industries. One of the accounts was "Baywatch Nights". I printed a lot of pictures of him. I didn't get to swipe any of the pictures
In 2005. My coworkers (from a different job) and I went for a quick ride to Starbucks Coffee. It was my turn to drive and I had Lou Rawls's CD in my stereo.
My co-workers were at least 10 years younger than I was, and they wanted me to change the music, but it was my car. I played "Lady Love".
After the live version, the studio version of "Lady Love" started to play. My co-workers complained "why do you listen to the same song again?". So I explained the difference between the live & studio versions. And we all laughed. They thought I was old fashion and weired. I laughed because those youngsters never heard of Lou Rawls.
