Re: Jimmy Dean, Singer, Actor, Sausage Businessman Dies 81

i loved Jimmy Dean and his music and my daddy loved him also. I treasured speaking with him briefly in 1992. His passing brought back many special memories we spent watching and listening to him with family members. As Each time I heard him on the radio. My dads nickname was Big John by the way. There is no doubt that Jimmy Dean now sings with the Angels. God Bless. Sincerely, Darlene Thompson

Jimmy Dean also hosted a variety show on ABC, that had as Jimmy's sidekick, a young Jim Henson, playing the one and only ROWLF, the dog. he was a buisiness owner in a 007 movie. and was always doing guest spots for tv, on HEE HAW, and live concerts. he may have been big in the sausage buisiness, but i remember him for "Standing Six-Foot-Six" and weighing "245". to all of us who enjoyed his music, as well as his food, he will always be "BIG BAD JOHN" R.I.P Jimmy.......Sam Downey
