California Judge Issues Warrant for Lindsay Lohan's Arrest

In May 20, 2010, after missing a mandatory court hearing stemming from her 2007 DUI case, Beverly Hills  Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel issued a warrant for the arrest of the 23-year-old actress.

According to Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan had good reason for not showing up to court: She's stuck at the Cannes Film Festival, where her passport was stolen.

Juan-Carlos Cruz, celebrity cook, arrested for murder solicitation.

On Thursday, May 13, 2010, Juan-Carlos Cruz was arrested at Cheviot Hills Park in Los Angeles, for having allegedly solicited at three homeless persons at the Third Street Promenade to murder his wife, Jennifer Campbell.  Cruz was held on $5 million bail.

Juan-Carlos Cruz (January 30, 1962) is a celebrity chef and the former host of Calorie Commando and Weighing In (formerly titled Take It Off) on the Food Network. Cruz lost 43 pounds on the Discovery Health Channel show Discovery Health Body Challenge, which encouraged him to change directions from being a pastry chef to do low-calorie cooking.
 

John Travolta's Dogs Killed In Maine Airport Accident

BANGOR, Maine — A service vehicle at Maine's Bangor International Airport has struck and killed two dogs owned by John Travolta.

The city says the accident happened after an airplane carrying members of Travolta's family landed early last Thursday and the dogs were being walked.

Vice President Biden's son, Beau, is undergoing treatment at a Delaware hospital, according to a statement from the vice president’s office.

A source close to the family tells ABC News that Beau had some discomfort this morning and a headache so he went to the doctors to get checked out. He's at Christiana Hospital and doctors are examining him trying to determine what, if anything, may be wrong.

Barbara Walters (80) Surgery Announcement (vid)

80 years old Barbara Walters announced on the May 10, 2010 episode of her show The View, that she will be undergoing open heart surgery to replace a faulty heart valve.

Walters will have surgery later this week to replace a faulty heart valve, and will take the summer off from The View talk show to recuperate.

She told viewers she had known about her condition for a while, and decided with her doctors when would be the best time to have the surgery.

Autopsy finds child actor Corey Haim died of pneumonia

On May 4, 2010, the L.A. County coroner's office autopsy report revealed that child actor Corey Haim died of pneumonia. As to speculation about whether drugs were involved, the coroner's reported stated "the toxicology report revealed no significant contributing factor."

Dorothy Provine 'Mad World' actress dies 75

Dorothy Provine (January 20, 1935 – April 25, 2010) was an American singer, dancer, actress, and comedienne

Her later films included It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World  (1963), Good Neighbor Sam (1964), The Great Race (1965), That Darn Cat! (1965), Kiss the Girls and Make Them Die (1966), Who's Minding the Mint? (1967) and Never a Dull Moment (1968).

She died on April 25, 2010 of emphysema  in Bremerton, Washington, aged 75
 

Bret Michaels 'Stabilized' After Brain Hemorrhage.

On April 12, 2010, Michaels was rushed to hospital after suffering incredible stomach pains for an emergency appendectomy  thinking he had a severe case of the flu and which seemed to stem from Michaels' diabetic condition.

On April 22, 2010, Michaels was rushed again to hospital with an "excruciating" headache, where doctors discovered that he had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage. He was in critical condition, but his condition is now stabilized.

Bret Michaels (March 15, 1963) is an American singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison. Besides his career as lead singer, he has several solo albums to his credit, as well as one chart single. He has also starred in the VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels  and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He is a contestant on NBC's reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3.

Tennis Grand Slam queen Martina Navratilova said she was diagnosed with a non-invasive form of breast cancer, telling People magazine in its Wednesday edition that her prognosis was excellent.

Dennis Hopper, who is said by his attorney to be terminally ill and too weak to face a deposition in a contentious divorce case, will receive the 2,403rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.

Hopper has received approval from his doctor to attend the late-morning ceremony in front of the Egyptian Theatre, according to a court filing.

Orlando's SeaWorld suspended its famous orca shows after a killer whale lived up to his name Wednesday, drowning a trainer in front of horrified onlookers.

Police said 40-year-old Dawn Brancheau slipped and fell into his pool, but a witness said the orca rose up from the water and grabbed her by the waist and shook her
