On July 13, 2012 Michael Clarke Duncan (54) was sent to the hospital after suffering from a heart attack. Omarosa (38), Michael Duncan's girlfriend, found that Duncan had suffered cardiac arrest. She performed CPR and was able to revive him thus saving his life.

On 14 April 2012, it was reported that Gibb was "fighting for his life" after contracting pneumonia and was in a coma in a Chelsea hospital.

Maurice Gibb, Robin’s twin brother, died in 2003 at the age of 53 due to complications from a twisted intestine.

The Bee Gees’ younger brother, Andy, who had a successful solo career, died in 1988 at age 30 of a heart ailment.

Merle Haggard is hoping to be released in a few days from the hospital where he was admitted earlier this week to be treated for pneumonia, which forced the celebrated country singer and songwriter to postpone seven shows in several states, his spokeswoman said Thursday.

Along with Buck Owens, Haggard and his band The Strangers helped create the Bakersfield sound, which is characterized by the unique twang of Fender Telecaster guitars, vocal harmonies, and a rough edge not heard on the more polished Nashville Sound recordings of the same era.

John Edwards has a life-threatening heart condition.

If convicted, Edwards faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine.

On December 7, 2010, John Edwards' wife Elizabeth died of metastatic breast cancer. Before Elizabeth's death, John Edwards announced he had an extended affair and fathered a child.

On January 25, 2010, reports surfaced of the existence of an explicit sex tape featuring Edwards and Rielle Hunter (mistress).

NEW YORK — Nick Cannon is spending the first week of the new year in the hospital, with wife Mariah Carey by his side.

Carey tweeted that Cannon is suffering from “mild kidney failure.” His representative confirmed Cannon’s hospitalization. He is in Aspen, Colo., where he and Carey were vacationing.

On December 16, 2011, it was announced that Etta James was under 24-hour care and is terminally ill from the cancer she has been battling throughout 2011. Her manager, Lupe De Leon, stated to the media that she is "in the final stages of leukemia", has been diagnosed with both dementia and Hepatitis C, has been placed on oxygen, is receiving constant care from her husband, and is being visited regularly by her sons. De Leon went on to say, "We're all very sad. We're just waiting..."

Etta James (born Jamesetta Hawkins, January 25, 1938) is an American blues, soul, rhythm and blues (R&B), rock and roll, gospel, and jazz singer. In the 1950s and 1960s, she had her biggest success as a blues and R&B singer. She is best known for her version of the Mack Gordon and Harry Warren song "At Last", and for "I'd Rather Go Blind", for which she claims she wrote the lyrics.

Robin Gibb Liver Cancer – Robin Gibb, member of the music group Bee Gees, has liver cancer, a family friend confirmed Sunday.

The 61 year old was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday after a 911 call from his mansion home in Oxfordshire, central England, but allowed home after a few hours, the Sunday Mirror reported.

On October 25, 63 years old Steven Tyler slipped in his hotel shower in Paraguay and injured his face, including losing 2 teeth. Tyler was rushed to the hospital, and the scheduled show was postponed for the following night.

She woke up on her tour bus Saturday having difficulty breathing. She was treated at a Kentucky hospital over the weekend and released.

(CBS) Comedienne Wanda Sykes made a very serious revelation during an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

In the appearance, which is set to air Monday, Sykes admits that she was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and decided to have a double mastectomy.

"I had breast cancer," Sykes, 47, said, according to reports. "Yeah, I know it's scary."

In 2004 Entertainment Weekly named her as one of the 25 funniest people in America. She is well known for her role as Barbara Baran on The New Adventures of Old Christine and for her appearances on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. In November 2009 The Wanda Sykes Show, her own late-night talkshow, premiered on Fox, airing Saturday nights. It ended in April 2010.

Sykes also had a successful career in film, appearing in Monster-in-Law, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Evan Almighty, and License to Wed, and voiced characters in Over the Hedge, Barnyard, Brother Bear 2, Rio, and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

On August 8th, 2011 DeGraw was hospitalized after being assaulted by several persons in New York City. Police say a group of men attacked DeGraw on a city street in New York City at 4:30am late Sunday night. He reportedly received a broken nose and cut to his face. After the attack DeGraw was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in an ambulance and his status is currently being monitored.

Gavin Shane DeGraw (born February 4, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is probably most well-known for his songs "Chariot", "Follow Through", "I Don't Want to Be" (which is featured as the theme song for the TV drama One Tree Hill), and "In Love with a Girl."

He sparked worry amongst his fans when he fainted mid-performance during a concert in Pittsburgh last Thursday, and collapsed again after a gig in New Jersey on Sunday.

The 63-year-old singer passed out backstage following his set, and had to be given oxygen.
