Joan Rivers on life support

On August 28, 2014, Rivers experienced serious complications-including stopping breathing-during throat surgery at a clinic in Yorkville on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was put into a medically induced coma after reportedly entering cardiac arrest.

On August 29, her daughter, Melissa, publicly stated that she is "resting comfortably" in the hospital.

On August 30, it was reported Rivers has been put on life-support. Reports stated that her family might face ending Rivers's life support if her condition did not improve.

His wife Rhonda and their daughters were not injured.

Fire officials told The Tennessean newspaper that Adkins' home in this suburb south of Nashville was a total loss. The blaze was reported at 3:35 p.m. and firefighters responded within minutes.

On March 10, 2011, Annette Funicello's Encino, California home caught fire. She suffered smoke inhalation but was otherwise unharmed.

Annette Joanne Funicello (born October 22, 1942) is an American singer and actress. She was Walt Disney's most popular cast member of The Mickey Mouse Club, and went on to appear in a series of beach party films.

Funicello announced in 1992 that she suffers from multiple sclerosis.  She's been on wheelchair since then.

Widow of Gene Autry hits & kills a homeless man with her car

On November 25, 2010 (Thanksgiving Day), Jackie Autry was driving a car in Palm Springs that hit and killed a pedestrian, Jesus Cardova Diaz, who was a homeless man.

She was not charged.  The homeless man was not using the crosswalk.

Jackie Autry (born October 2, 1941 - 69 yrs old) is the former owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and widow of singer, actor and businessman Gene Autry. They have a home in Palm Springs, Calif. and also in Studio City, Calif.

Charges against two people accused of trying to extort money from John Travolta after the death of his teenage son in the Bahamas have been dropped by a judge.

A judge in Nassau dismissed the charges after the prosecutor said the Hollywood star no longer wanted to pursue the case.

"The Travolta family has said that this matter has caused them unbelievable stress and pain and they wish to put this whole thing behind them,"

BANGOR, Maine — A service vehicle at Maine's Bangor International Airport has struck and killed two dogs owned by John Travolta.

The city says the accident happened after an airplane carrying members of Travolta's family landed early last Thursday and the dogs were being walked.

Ailing actor Dennis Hopper is determined not to die before he manages to block his wife from taking all his money, according to U.S. reports.

73-year-old star's main aim before he dies is to block her grabbing all his money.

And he insists the star is making clear he is desperately trying to hang on until his divorce from Duffy becomes final.

Hopper is at an LA-area hospital surrounded by his children and friends, but not his wife.
